Comprehensive Beatdown is back with Episode 59. This week Bloggy Bonilla and Silent G check out the new Shabazz Palaces live album, “Live at Third Man Records.” If you don’t know Shabazz Palaces, you might still recognize the voice of Ishmael Butler, formerly Butterfly of Digable Planets.

The guys also check out a song from Ray Kincaid’s new mixtape, “Artistic Depression” and a special selection from a friend and fan of the podcast, in remembrance of the tragedy in Orlando this past weekend.

Comprehensive Beatdown Episode 40: Murs & 9th Wonder - Brighter Daze

Comprehensive Beatdown is back for the first episode of 2016. This week, Bloggy Bonilla and Silent G bring you “Brighter Daze,” the newest release from Murs and 9th Wonder. “Brighter Daze,” which dropped on January 1st through the Jamla label, came as a bit of a surprise to fans who thought 2012’s “The Final Adeventure” was the last offering from the duo.

For this special end of the year edition, Bloggy Bonilla and Silent G welcome special guests Tre Pepper and Walter Young to discuss their brand new self titled album, “Echo Victor.” The guests give some great insight on the production of the album as well as their backgrounds in the Jackson music scene. Of course, nerdy things like video games and the upcoming Star Wars movie are also discussed.
